Yes. I highly recommend it.
Alternatively, if you want up to date material, saving up for Card College (
Available here or a magic dealer) is also a good idea.
Don't forget to include a dozen of cards in your budget too. Lol.

Card college (the series) is not a good idea, its a MUCH better idea, if you have the money that is.
However, I would say Vol 1 of card college is quite basic. If I were to choose between Vol 1 of CC and rrtcm, I wld choose rrtcm. But you must accept that the explanation is less detailed, and that you will be missing 40+ years of refinements.
If you are truly passionate about performing card magic, you should give card college a serious consideration. If you are not sure if you would stay for long, choose rrtcm, at least you wouldn't waste money if you decide card magic is not the gig for you. -_-

hi
RRTCM is good book and if you get the book, i recommend you download the gomagicgo beginner series podcast.(These podcast are quite old so you will need to find it when you add the rss feed into itunes). The podcast teaches alot to help you start in magic.

Can you write in proper English please? This is to make the post easier to read and also keep the place tidy. Please read the rules if you have not done so.

Just a little advise. It you are just starting out, you might one to check out some beginner dvd. They are much easier to understand and you will be able to get some basic moves out fast. Books would required some understanding and visualizing of the move, might be a bit hard to catch on if you are really new.
