Hi Everyone,

This is the 1st charity event for SMC this year and we hope to seek your enthusiastic participation. A close friend of mine has asked to help her look for walk-around magicians for her St John event on 27-Jan-2008. The show is for old folks and the following are more detailed info:

Date of event: 27-Jan-2008 (Sunday)
Location:St John Headquaters
Address: 420 Beach Road (click to see map location)
Size: 280 Senior citizens
Requirements: Walk around magic for senior citizens during buffet lunch.
Duration: 1.5hr
Time: Approximately 11.00am-12.00pm

The performers are required to entertain the senior citizen during their buffet lunch. I was told that the table setting is not like a banquet style of round tables but rather canteen style of long benches and tables. After the event, we'll be invited to a buffet lunch by the organisers.

Looking at the size of the crowd. I'm hoping to get at least 5 walk magicians for this event. Of course the more the merrier. If you have questions about this event, feel free to post them here. Strolling magic for old folks...sounds like a good cause man. Jerome i would love to help but i can't make it because i have a competition on the same day.

Anyway response seems kind of cold, probably because everyone is still settling into the new year. But to anyone reading this that may still be considering, it's a sunday, it's for a good cause, so don't hesitate any longer.

This Sunday will be our day to bedazzle the folks at St John HQ. As our walkaround will start at 11am. Hey, I remember you said we aer performing at their tables, so not exactly a walk-around like CCF?

My apologies, you're correct it's not a walk-a-round like CCF. It's more of table-hopping or should I say bench-hopping as the folks will all be seated on long benches so do take note and see how you're intend to manage the crowd. Performing for old folks will not be as easy but I'm sure it'll be a good experience for all of us. Thanks bro... See ya there...
