hey guys, for those of you whom have purchased Mercuring by Sankey, what do you all think about the ring that was provided?

Personally i think it is 'usuable' but not exactly how a normal ring would look like. Now it is just sitting in my cupboard waiting for me to use it. So i was hoping to make the gimmick myself. Anyone has any 'lobang' to do so?

Re-making the gimmick, I'm not sure if Sankey is going to be very happy.

I would strongly suggest you putting some engravings on the ring, even coloring if required to make it look more 'normal'.

Also it would be good to be wearing the ring all the time before performing the effect. Subtlely induce the spectator to take notice of the ring from time to time before finally performing this really amazing effect =)

So you painted your ring and added engraving? Sounds like a cool idea.

Anyway, are we really not allowed to remake the gimmick??

I remember once roland mentioned to me about he making the gimmick himself, cos the ring size provided was too small for him, maybe he wants to comment on this?

Personally I feel that re-making the ring for personal usage MAY still be fine. Of course in no case do we re-make and start spamming the consumer market with these clones.

There has already been so many threads on these issues. Ultimately if you were to re-make one for personal usage, never forget to credit in the event that you need to.

That goes without saying. But thank you mark for pointing that out to others in the forum whom might have sneaky ideas or whatever.

Anyway I read in other forums that people mostly remake the mercuring gimmick to suit their personal needs/style. How to make it is not the issue. The problem is where to get people with the know how to make such things in Singapore?

Roland made the gimmick? I thought he sold off his mercuring DVD some time back. I thought it was because the effect didn't suit him.

Its true people make the gimmick to suit thier personal needs and i believe roland made one to suit his need too. Maybe zian u can pm or contact him thru msn or something.

Does Roland not come to SMC anymore?
