Anyone who has this effect please drop me a PM. Need advice.

noob_magicx: There are tons of review over at the T11 boards. But I'll give one over here. (I've too much free time)

Effect: The effect is done as advertised. You do not need a ball or hanky, do not need any form of sublimal suggestion. This can be done in a nudist colony (as suggested by Daniel Garcia).

Method: Simple. if Stigmata is easy, this is kindergarden stuff. This is one of those effects that depends on presentation rather than the method.

Video Delivery: Slow internet connection users beware! T11 has a 3 download attempts limit to your purchase, and if you are one who is having frequent disconnection, I will recommend you getting either the dvd or the download accelerator from speedbit (it's free.) I've got my download reset twice before I can get this video. Very troublesome!

Video Production: Quicktime file format, as usual video and sound quality are great. A number of funny moments in the video. (Especially from D.Garcia)

Extras: W:H delivered a very well presented Invisible Palm routine in that video. There is this Randall guy, he's funny thats all I can say. The girl, Jenna from the performance segment is cute. Daniel Garcia taught a heart stopping effect, similar concept as Control. W:H taught a watch stopping routine incorporate with Control.

Recommended! Pick this up!

P.S. Again, those who have this already, pls PM me

After watching, I can honestly say it's one of those effects where when the method is revealed, you'll just want to kill yourself. Haha. Yes you can perform this trick nude but not recommended!

The video is top notch quality. No hiccups with lots of funny jokes peppered around by the duo of Daniel Garcia and Wayne Houchin.

Method is explained in detail covering everything ull need to start off. Can be done by a beginner with a little practice and timing. Stop by Garcia is something you wont do much. Well, unless you dont mind someone getting close to your chest. =P But, as Control, the method is ingenieously smart and cunning.

Stop, if you didnt noe, is an effect that allows the spectator to listen to your heart, his/her ear on your chest, and hear it slow down and finally, stop. You are in control of what the spectator hears and it's impromptu too. Great effect if you wana get close to your spectator... If you know what i mean. =P

If you are looking for a pulse stopping method, then i say this is simple and easy, worth you checking out. But bear in mind it does not work for every spectator, you need to choose spectator. And if you don't like that, maybe its not for you.

For those who hate stigmata, i suggest that you dont get this.

Fortunately, i love both of them.

Firstly, the whole explanation video is madness, super funny, and it give you like the "beside you teaching" feeling. (pardon my English, hope you understand).

I like the way they structure the content. alot of magicians always feels that a good trick have to be a difficult trick with lotsa sleights, which is totally wrong.
He manage to show you the reaction and the impact before teaching you how is it done. It is one of those tricks that helps you to practice on your presentation more then the sleights.

This is the kind of effects that you may perform if you dont have a deck with you or you wanna show them that you have "power" in you.

With stigmata and control, you are gonna be a "real" street magician. Simple to do, easy to master, and super huge reaction.

Cheers!

This trick, I would say not to get. I have it, really simple method
if you come to think of it.

I would recommend otherwise.
It IS simple, but magic is not about the method.
It's about the performance.

Why bother about how difficult it is to accomplish a trick?
It should not be ANY factor as to whether one should purchase the effect or not.

The only pure reason to buy it, is because you want to perform it.
And I believe "Control" teaches you just that.
It's also ideal for people who wanna hone their showmanship and performance routines...
because ultimately you have to really sell the fact that you're dead.

How you do it, is one thing.
But actually performing and getting people to really believe and remember is another...

The method is definitely easy, but so is every other trick.
In the end, it's what you learn that makes the spectator believe it's magic that makes it magic...

Spectators don't care if it's a brutal sleight or not...
They only see what you want them to see.

I've just learned this effect and I can't wait to try it out. This effect has great potential to really blow an audience away. I love tricks that are very easy to do, require few set-up and props, and tends towards being performance-oriented rather the sleight-oriented, This one certainly falls into that category.

Randell's failed performance at the end of the DVD was hilarious. Reminds me of my Australian housemate who just cannot act natural when performing. His appearance made the whole DVD more entertaining. If there is an example how not to perform the effect, this takes the cake.

In the video, Wayne Houchin gives some really useful tips on carrying out the performance and how to set the right mood. The trick itself is very easy to perform and it is the performance tips that really sell this DVD.

Daniel Garcia also has a bonus effect in this DVD where the heart is stopped. Looks interesting, but it takes a little more guts to perform compared to the pulse stop one. Has anyone tried out this bonus effect before? Is it easy to sell the effect of STOP?

Does anyone here perform differently from what is taught in the DVD? If so, would you be willing to share the mood or platter you use?
