A few weeks ago, I saw the review for one trick and i underestimate it until i saw a magician performing on tv today so i went to search for the trick but i can't find it.

The effect is liked an audience picks a card. Then the magician ask the audience to name a number between 10 to 20; for example 17. After a series of cuts, the magician just cut a number of card and it is 17, the next card is what the audience had picked.

I remember seeing the review for this trick but i can't seen to find it. Any kind soul can help to direct me? Thanks.

I think inside the dvd, they teach the cut instead of the routine. If i never remember wrongly.

You saw the 'street magic' special on Ch5. The magician is Harry Lorayne, and that was his version of the trick 'ACAAN' i.e Any Card At Any Number.

It's one of the most direct I've seen, but many versions exist of varying difficulty. Shouldn't be too difficult to find.

A useful exercise which I do is this. Consider the final effect vaguely, don't be too specific. and try to replicate it in your own way. This helps to boost your creativity and im pretty sure makes you a better thinker.

Think very carefully about how it might have been done then give me a pm so we can compare notes =P
