Description
Sting - the universally acclaimed composer, singer, actor and activist will bring his highly praised Sacred Love Tour to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Monday 10th January 2005. Tickets are available now at all SISTIC outlets.

As a musician, Sting has remained at the forefront of public consciousness for over two decades and has written some of the most enduring songs of our time.

His latest recording, Sacred Love - released to both critical and commercial success – is a perfect example. As an accompaniment to the album, Sting released Inside: The Songs of Sacred Love, a DVD, which allows viewers to join the artist for the very first time on his journey as he creates and performs his new album.

Of equally impressive note is Sting’s tireless support of human rights organizations. In 1989, Sting, along with his wife Trudie Styler, founded the Rainforest Foundation to protect both the world’s rainforests and their indigenous peoples. Together, they have raised more than $18 million with 13 benefit concerts held to raise funds and awareness of our planet’s endangered resources. This year, Sting was presented with the prestigious “Person of the Year” Award by the MusiCares Foundation. In 2003, Sting was also named Billboard’s Century Award Honoree as recognized at the Billboard Music Awards.

The tour is presented by Clear Channel Entertainment and Lushington Entertainments, and produced by RZO Entertainment, Inc.

I was lucky! I managed to go for the Eagles concert last year... they were GREAT!!!! Argh... Don!!! Don!!!! *switches to groupie mode*

And Nicholas... you're watching too much Wrestling! Sting is a genius! Please do yourself a great favour and check out his hits like Windmills of Your Mind, Fields of Gold, Desert Rose, etc, etc... He's really really really good!

Anyways, just to share, the lyrics of his song Fragile (it's like poetry!):

If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
How fragile we are how fragile we are

Hi y'all,

y'know, it's really interesting, see, if Ning goes to see Sting, who knows what she'd bring? He's almost a pop King, zing, and boy can he sing! And more to the point, Greg Wilson's got his Ring Thing, ba-da-boom ba-da-bing! Wheeeee!

That aside, Sting's got a nice voice, and he's a good lyricist (himself, hah), quite a rare combo for pop people.

Not going though. Anyone?
