My personal view. iPhone is only because of the hip up of trend. it doesn't work as much different as other phone. Somemore it can be complicated to use a different kind of phone that is not really compatiable to alot of things.

The iphone is pretty outdated in terms of technology. Downloads are slow.

If you can afford an iphone, look at some of the latest models by Nokia like the N95 8GB or the N93

I am currently using the N95 8GB. Highly recommended. 5 MegaPix Camera, Has pretty decent GPS, downloads 10 times faster then a normal 3G phone (It's 3.5G), wide screen with good colour display and light detection adjustment, and uses a normal earphone that is found on discmans and ipods, so you can use it as an ipod (since it has 8GB of space) and can download directly of the web. Great speaker sound too (good when you want to play music). The new upgraded 8GB model also has pretty decent battery - something the first N95 did not have. The phone connects to any wireless network easily if you enter your home or any restaurant with a wireless internet connection, and at home, can even be configured to be used as a modem (thought I didn't do this for my phone. Lazy). Other then that, basically like a Palm (runs on symbian) except it is not touch screen (which I prefer) so checking emailing, word programs, MSN Messeng, etc work on it.

As for the N93, I do not have it, but I understand that the photo and video capabilities are even better then the N95 8Gb.

Yeah, I'm currently using a N95 tho. =)
The technology is actually quite old i know.
But hoping they will launch in Singapore with a newer model?
Last time i went to a meeting i saw one of our forumits using it, forgot to ask him to lend me have a look. So you all know who's that guy? Hahaha..

Btw, Thanks both of you all. And joel tell you one thing, You can be a good promoter =) Since you are using a N95 do you know why the navfone can't work?
I have the singapore map preloaded but when i click connect GPS. It says it's already expired? But when the time i bought it, The navigation software is free and able to work for few times before. Thanks in advance =)

By navfone, you mean the GPS on N95?

With the N95, it takes a while for the GPS to load. When I was using it, the GPS was free for the 6 months I owned it. When I lost it, I got a replacement, the newer N95 8Gb, which has a much better GPS software. Loads faster and better overall in route searching. I was asked to pay for the GPS use depending on how long I want to use it for. E.g. 1 day, 1 month, 1 year, etc.

Is that is what you are asking about? You would need to pay for voice navigation.

How does the GPS work in Singapore? I don't get many tall buildings here in Brisbane, so the GPS works perfectly. Do you get lost of signal or wrong direction in Singapore with tall buildings around?

Nope,I don't mean the nokia maps application. What i mean is the navfone pro software that comes with it. So you mean the navfone pro software is only free for 6 monthes? -.-"

GPS works by triangulating you constantly having at least 3 satelites above you. the satelites will send out a time code which will be received by your receiver and calculated for the time delay determining your position. N95 8GB loads faster because it's using an interface called A-GPS which the A=Assisted. It combines the above plus the location of the nearest receiver provided by your service provider, thus speeding up the determination of location.
Take a look @ http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gps-phone.htm/printable

In singapore i don't really get disconnected, The tall buildings don't really affect much. It's if someting is above you like a ceiling or what which will cause the problem. =)
