there are igniting gimmicks to help light up the flash paper and will be sleeved back.

couple of them available, best to do research

or u could always light up a candle on ur performance table

Couldn't you just simply invite a spectator on stage? Otherwise, a standing candle is definitely a good choice. Next alternative is, do another effect!

Sorry to dig out old post. Currently i using Rose as a theme for my stage show. Anyone had any good and new idea how to light it with fire and then appear the rose? :)

sorry for the confusion, i didnt mean these appearing rose. i had seen this dvd before as the last part, the paper flower turn into a real rose. What i mean is torch to rose.. haha.. Anyway to beautify the effect? eg: using F... paper, or using silk or ...... :)

Torch to rose is self-contain. You don't need flash paper or even a silk to cover. Light the torch and then change it to rose.
