Title: When And How Should The Next One Be Like?

I think its safe to say that this event was a sucess, and while the event is still fresh in everyone minds, we should highlight what was done right and what could be improve on so that the next event will be better, if it will ever be held again.

Good Points.
1. Some great acts

2. Great having it in a eatery, means we can eat and watch.

3. $5 was a good price to pay for admission

4. Nice touch having the camera for the table tricks.

Things to improve.
1. Sound System

I think a small clip on wireless mic will do the Magicians well. Since most of them like to move around the stage. Acusotics can't really be helpped, unless you are sitting in the Syndey Opera House or something like that.

2. Some prep time for the stage & magicians
They should be familiar with the stage and the lighting of the place, very often the cards when displayed on the projector was over exposured, so some set up would be good there. Magicians should get a little pet talk to help work off some stage fright and anxiety.

3. Please try not to have it in NUS.
The place was nice and everything, but pitty those people who live far far away. But I am ok if it was held there again. I know its a cost reason as well, so the limitation is there, but maybe a little more scouting around would be good.

Alll in All it was a Great Event...........Excellent Work Guys....................

PS. Double check anything you can't correct on the spot. and prep some small change for the cash box.

things to improve:

1. sound system
2. video system for closeup tricks
3. either make it a parlour competition, or make it easier for closeup performers to perform (eg. 2, and no raised platform).

but i think it was great, and a fun learning experience. perhaps we can hold it at pam's function room since he's making it available for us.

oh yes, maybe we can have better food and drinks?? lol. :)
