Title: A Very Curry Change
Description: For those at the last SMC chalet

Shade - March 16, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
Just a little idea I had with the Curry Change - those of you who were at the last SMC chalet and learnt how this worked, you can apply this almost immediately. :)

A Different Curry Change

NOTE:
This is not an effect by itself - it's a very nice way for you to get into an effect using this move; do NOT try to do this as a stand-alone effect!

I've already highlighted most of the practical applications at the chalet (if you remember) and how to get in and out of this. If you're not sure, just don't do it... or you'll ruin it.

Very nice and pretty deceptive especially if done in a casual manner. Your video just inspired me to think about further applications of the Curry Change!

I can't do a curry change. Where should I start off learning the basic handling?

This is one of the moves from The Politician by Brian Tudor in Generation Extreme, just that it uses 4 cards instead of one.

This "MOVE" is a classic which first appeared in print in KABBALA, pg 68. - a book published before you or I were even born. Please don't simply dump names of DVDs from performers who do not credit their work lest people get the wrong information - do your homework before you post.

BigBadWolf:
You can learn the original curry change from Harry Lorayne's book "Close up Magic" or Card College (I can't remember which volume). The modified version (also known as Marlo's Curry Curve) can be found in the aforementioned Kabbala, which is the one I am currently using and shared at the last SMC chalet. Daryl also demonstrated and taught this in his Encyclopedia of Card Sleights DVD series.

Hope that helps.

Thanks!

But I have neither of those materials

It seems like a very convincing move to switch cards.

Nice clip ^_^

Wow, nice. The camera abit shaky though

The execution of this sleight is not diffcult. However, it is very very difficult to do it when spectators are burning your hand. To make it look like what it is suppose to look like (flipping over one card) with no flashes at all, i still cannot make it, and I don't think i will use this sleight unless i have reach that level.

The possibities for this sleight is endless, as discussed at the chalet. Do put some effort into practicing it if you all intend to use it.

You did that while filming with the camera in the other hand? Wow.

Someone has taken the effort to show you things that you most probably will not see on any DVD's and yet you can complain that the camera is shaky. *TSK TSK*

I would definitely like to see you do something like that.

SHADE,

Good Job As always bro!!

Wow.. As always... Flawless execution Shade. I always awed by ur Curry... Opps I mean Curry Change hehe...

So sad that I miss your lecture on the Curry change at the chalet. It's such a great sleight to switch cards. Plenty of applications to it...

Great job bro.... ^_^

Cheers
