Hey guys, i got this Joshua Jay DVD set a couple of months ago and I absolutely loved it. So i thought i'd just share a little review on the DVD's with you guys.

This is a 3 DVD set and all the tricks come straight from Joshua Jay's critically acclaimed column 'Talk About Tricks'. The tricks are from many different magicians like Rune Klan, Paul Cummins, Francis Menotti, Joshua Jay himself and more. It's not too pricey (80 USD on Penguin) and is well worth the money for the amount of material you get. The Material spans from cards to coins to matches to napkins to tips on techniques- you get my drift.

The tricks are taught by Joshua Jay and the owner of the tricks themselves, and for the most of it (especially the Joshua Jay portions) the teaching methods are really good and the tricks are well taught.

Well i don't really know what else to say, if you have any questions on the DVDs i'll be more than happy to answer u as best i can and throw in my 2 cents! But trust me, this DVD set is well worth it. My favourite so far!!

Yes. I also got this set of DVDs few months back. The routines taught inside were indeed great and visual !! From sleights to mentalism, the teaching is easy to understand and also practical in performing too.

Some of the routines used are using daily objects where you can use them while some require special gimmicks.

There is one of the routine called impromptu hitman which i like it very much and I have used this effect to perform to my friends when they asked me to show them a magic trick. The effect is indeed visual and easy to do. Thumb up!

Hey invisible, for impromptu hitman do u do the coin kicking part? haha.

This set of DVD is really good. Impromptu Hitman, Oil and Water effect and the Cloud Change are some of the better ones. ^_^

Hey Byran..as for the impromptu hitman, i find it kinda hard to do the kicking part but i saw Rune Klan does it very smoothly man. I was being fooled by the entire routine at first.

I did use the last ending where the whole pen and coin disappeared entirely. Clever idea!!

As for the oil and water effect, i always do the Reflipped part where it is super visual and nice ending! :rolleyes:
