Title: Magic As An Exquisite Art...
Description: Just a blazing thought...

Hello all, come to think of it. Magic, being compared to dancing or any performance art forms, is actually quite of a high-end and elite form of performance art already. Magic, can thoroughly entertain and amuse people and as well, develop us-- the learners of this ancient art, to have self-confidence and to instill some self-discipline. Magic also let us to learn to speak with confidence in public, to overcome some talking problems when we might have when meet strangers. And, Magic also requires good sense of loyality to the art when it comes to keeping underground secrets and limiting exposure. Magic also requires LONG periods of time dedicated and committed to practice and perfect the sleights & stuff and to make up a good and impactful patter.

So, I think people should not quit in the middle of their magic journeys as Magic will really shape their lives and develop a good attitude.

Any views on this? B)

I do not see magic as a performing art even. I see magic the stuff of fantasy, where great wizards do great things.

Magic is called Magic people do not understand it, and without a lack of a real explaination refer to it as magic.

In thiis world, magic beyond the stage, beyond the performer exists. That is how I feel at least, it is collection of events that shows us who we are, where we are going and what were we.

Have you ever consider what would happen if you had gone to school instead of skipping it for a moive? would you have meet your wife, or would you have done something that would make you famous? That is to me one of the many forms of magic.

the only thing special about magic is the secret. that's what makes magic unique. the element of mystery and bewilderment. other than that, magic can easily be compared with other art forms or entertainment.

Hopefully we won't star the stupid secret vs performance style thing again.

Burr, I agree with Gordie on this one. But please, G... try to write it in such a way that it's more of an opinion, not a fact. Not everybody agrees with the stuff that's generated from that keyboard of yers, so be safe rather than sorry ;)

I mean is that Magic is a very complete hobby or activity to be in, as it developes us magicians in a useful and right manner, both mentally, morally and psychially... ;)

I so agree with this.

Mentally: Every time I see a puzzling effect, I have to rack my brains out to figure it out before I can sleep soundly. And that gives ideas and inspiration for improvement.

Morally: More like how to keep friends from getting angry when you don't reveal the secrets...lol. Happens more often in my younger days. Seldom come across that now.

Physically: I have backaches from sitting upright too long at the table with my close-up mat.
