Title: Hell's Smoke
Description: Anyone has used this?

Adeline mentioned Hell's Smoke in another thread as an alternative to Ultrasmoke.

Has another used this before? Could you provide a review? I've not been able to find an video of Hell Smoke being used in a show so I do not know how realistic the effect looks.

How does Hell Smoke compare to Ultrasmoke? Is it less/more practical for use in Singapore compared to Ultrasmoke? Is the smoke realistic? Are there any sleights needed in performing this (like to hide the prop)? Can it be used close up like Ultrasmoke? What are some pros and cons of using Hell Smoke? Does it produce enough smoke? Does it require something to be ignite?

I left my ultrasmoke in Australia since moving back to Singapore so I am looking for a suitable replacement. I'm only familiar with ultrasmoke. Any advice?

Thanks,
Joel

The preparation for Hell's smoke is cumbersome. Though there's no body hook up, you can only do it once. You''ll have to apply the substance again in order to perform it. The substance can be prepared 2 days in advance (as stated in their ad).

I have the old version. The smoke looks real because it is real (not the the novelty glue type smoke). After applying it on your fingers, you probably wouldn't be able to touch anything else.

This can be done close up, no sleights, no props to hide, nothing to ignite (during performance). The smoke produced probably wouldn't be as much as Utrasmoke.

Hope this helps.

I bought it quite some time ago and I feel it's noticeable only at closeup level. It can't be notice for parlour setting. If the background is bright, you can hardly see the smoke. I do more of stage magic, so I honestly did not like this one.

With that said, the smoke is definitely real and can definitely add some visuals to your closeup magic.
