Title: I Can't Seem To Persuade My Magi Friends Here...
Description: They are damn shy and hesitant.

[Ling] - January 9, 2005 01:04 PM (GMT)
SIGH~ I spent a great deal of time trying to convince a guy to join SMC and this forum...

Anyone can help me in dragging him here? Everything here are so good and perfect, why he's so hesitant??? :(

Deckker - January 9, 2005 01:07 PM (GMT)
you can force a horse to water, but you can't force a horse to drink.

Let him come because he wants to, then you will have a real member and not a lurker.

[Ling] - January 9, 2005 01:10 PM (GMT)
Alright, I shall wait and let time tell...

GordonLi - January 9, 2005 01:36 PM (GMT)
i would only invite someone over if he's really interested in magic.

Desmond - January 10, 2005 09:56 AM (GMT)
haha
do more tricks n keep tellin him the benefits of joining the forum :P

Brendan - January 10, 2005 10:12 AM (GMT)
why u wanna get him to SMC? is he a magician? If yes, then good. If not, why bother? It just seems that he is not interested. No use forcing some laymen to join the magic forum when he shows totally no interrest. Anyway, dont u think spore have too many magicians? hmm...

Kevin - January 10, 2005 11:42 AM (GMT)
Give them a real good spanking, and then send them all to their rooms to think themselves through. They'll join after that, trust me. Depends on how hard you hit them first.

Ha! Kev, he's in da corner now. lols... Yeah, he's showing interest now. Because he's feeling inferior inside and afraid that everyone here will mock him cos he's not that good and experienced. But, i think i have overcame his fear inside. :P

He will come... :)

MagicB : Yeah, there's a growing population of magicians recently. But most of them are just learning it for fun because of Blaine and for wooing uses. Bleah, those sucks.... <_<

Nicholas - January 10, 2005 01:13 PM (GMT)
is he the guy who always with you at SM usualy>?

B)

[Ling] - January 10, 2005 01:21 PM (GMT)
Hmmm, i think he went to SM less than 5 times... He's quite slender.... Shouldn't be him, i think.

Aaaaa, I usually go SM alone... Have no idea... And SM seems to be ancient history for me already. Too long didn't go already. LOls, wonder how is Daniel and That Ada... Hmmmm... :P

TheMaestro - January 10, 2005 01:24 PM (GMT)
Yah how come you need to drag him here? If he is really interested he should coming here on his own

Brendan - January 14, 2005 08:57 AM (GMT)
hmm.... i just think that magic should be learnt by those who really wanna seek it and entertain people for it, make use of it. Not just for fun or just wanting to know how its done. tats just me opinion.

yeah blaine was the one that stirred me up.. and now im freaking crazy over magic.. hehe... there's no turning back once u start. so have a pleasant magical journey guys! :)

Coke - January 14, 2005 08:59 AM (GMT)
tell him MORE about smc... dun just ask him to come..

if he loves magic, then ask him la..
if he dont really, then show him some stuff..

then u can ask him to join smc. i bet he would

[Ling] - January 14, 2005 10:03 AM (GMT)
He's always so busy. But he isn't abit initative in finding resources etc to learn, then kept relying on me for new stuff. Then he blames me that I didn't ask him to go Castle or anything magic outings etc, when he's keeping quiet, acting as if he isn't interested at all... Now I let fate to see if he's still interested in Magic. <_<

To me it really doesn't sound like he's interested at all. I wouldn't teach new stuff to anyone unless they've mastered what I've taught them before though.

[Ling] - January 14, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
He's like that.... I lost my trust in him now. After teaching him a few tricks, he can't even remember them, let alone PRACTICE and PERFECT.

Sad case...

Brendan - January 15, 2005 02:49 AM (GMT)
dont worry vampiremagus. There are plenty more people out there to reach magic too that are 1000 times more willing to learn than ur fren. go reach to them. dont give up on ya fren though. just keep hitting him with super visual magic. he'll oneday realise and maybe regret for not taking up this super cool ART. cheers! yup, I'm ok with the moves for this colour change but angles are real killer. Have to adjust for taller/shorter people, standing/sitting and even distance from spectator. Never dared tried to show more than one person at once.

[Ling] - January 16, 2005 01:22 PM (GMT)
Yeah, bertram is super angle-dependent and tough to pull it off. Didn't dare to show it to real audience yet.

Yeps, I have given up hope on him. Let him be then. It's not my problem...
