Title: Butterfly Magic

Anyone know of any butterfly production dvd? Including the handling of the butterfly so that you will not flattened it before you do the appearance. Secondly is the location to buy butterfly?

To my knowledge, if you can't find the dvd online, neither can I. Are you inspired by rocco silano? Or someone else? I believe this secret is still a secret amongst magicians. So, you probably have to figure out a holder of your own if you want to do this.
The best way is to produce butterfly under a cover, and make that "holder" with that same cover. Research abit on other kinds of productions like bottle productions, or even dove productions. Also considering the fact that you don't want to squash your butterfly, choose materials that wont flatten down then. These info will help you. If you don't want to go through all these troubles, then I strongly suggest against doing this effect. Cheers!

I recently bought the second volume of guerilla guide to loop. I am thinking of going a step further of the trick Life by Daniel Garcia so I want to transform the money butterfly to a real butterfly.
So i went to do a little research on butterfly magic and i found rocco silano, he did a multiple production of butterfly.
Criss angel also did a production of butterfly under a napkin.
I am still a newbie to bottle and dove production and do not really know what a holder looks like.

I believe there are many books on such production. My coca-cola bottles act was inspired by using stuffs like dove holders. I merely used an idea originally designed for the production of doves, and used bottles instead. Of course, I had to design my own holder so that it can hold the bottles I use in my act.
I also used ideas from my old parasol act to achieve some of the productions. I know I am not giving you answers here. But what I am trying to say, for all you know, you already do have the answers bro. Use your existing knowledge and try to reapply it elsewhere. Good luck with it.
But then again, if you are just doing this for fun, I advise you find something else to do. Stuffs like this always look cool but anything involving live requires alot of work and care. I have a rabbit and a few doves at home, and trust me, they are alot of work for me. I myself want to add more animals in my show, but i refrained myself from doing so because I know I can't single handedly take care of more than what I already have right now, considering my other commitments.

Thank you for that advice, I believe in providing a unforgettable experience to my audience even though it is for fun. Actually i wouldn't mind the trouble if the audience appreciate and the expression on their face.
A little pity, I already know how i am going to disappear my money butterfly just a little more steps to go and a wonderful routine will be complete. I think need to slowly think about it.

Something just came to my mind, make a metal pocket and load your butterfly in there. Wrap the metal pocket with the bill you are using, or design it such that it looks like that butterfly you used earlier. The rest is up to your imagination. Cheers!

Get 7 deceptions by Luke Jermay...your answer may be there.
BangHao - July 30, 2008 12:39 PM (GMT)
Are you sure is 7 deceptions? I have the book and i found nothing about butterfly magic.

I wonder what mentalism has got to do with magic dealing with live animals. Either that, or perhaps Kyle is suggesting something else. Not sure. Good luck with your finding answers but the best is you go start making the gimmick yourself, only then will you know if the method that you intend to use can work or not. Sitting down and pondering might give you ideas, but only when you try, then you will truly know.

Hi, I feel that before you make the gimmick or the method, its crucial to know precisely how you wnat the effect to look like. Do you need anything else like a silk? Or is it just your bare hands? Visualise the whole effect from start to end before you go into the methods, or even making the gimmick.
Peace,
Jason

The idea of a butterfly metamorphosis is interesting. It inspired me to jot down some notes:
1. from nothing, produce a cacoon
2. a magic wave and the cacoon begins to open
3. cacoon changed to a butterfly....
It is ironic that last Monday my granddaughter send me an email asking for one of my poems about CHANGE. My response was to write her one, which was inspired by one ofthe old masters. Here it is:
HAIKU (For Emily)
that nut is moving...
oh no.....it isn't a nut....
it's a butterfly
