Bob Chua – Reflections

I am very proud and honored to have viewed this 2 piece DVD set from Uncle Bob. Below are my personal comments.

The performance part of the DVD (DVD 1) shows Bob performing the effects to a group of lay audience. Honestly, when I say lay audience, I do not mean the L & L audiences. The strength of each individual effect can each be clearly seen engraved on the spectator faces. There are actually 2 performances segment on DVD 1 - One in private and the other in public. The nearby air-conditioner generator somehow drowns out Bob’s voice in the public performances, so the private one was done so as to give the viewer of this DVD a clearer understanding as well as feel of the performer.

Explanation of Bob’s effects cannot be any clearer. I have not seen another DVD that not explains the effects so clear and precise. There are also separate explanations for the more difficult individual sleights used in a particular effect. Honestly, Bob’s effects that he released during his lecture, is not that easy for a new student in the art of magic. However, with this DVD explanation set, the lecture notes, any student, can learn from Singapore’s very best.

This DVD is most probably one of the more decent ones produced locally. Magic content more than sufficient, explanations crystal clear, background music pleasant and best of all, the material can really be used and performed on demand. From what I understand, there are only copies made and produced. So please, I urge only the serious magicians acquire this, because, I know that you will definitely use it.

Hi Uncle Bob, I am Sebastian and I hope you still remember me. we met at Woodlands Vista Point last year while you performing children magic on stage. I am also a student of Robin. I have send you a private email and hopefully we could meet up and "lah kopi" yah?

Bob Chua is the most seasoned magician in Singapore. Anything by this guy rocks. When I grow up i wanna be just like him.
