Title: Instant Hypnosis Induction

joeltay81 - September 2, 2008 06:02 PM (GMT)
For those who have been keeping up to date, a certain "popular" internet-magic shop has introduced what they call an instant hypnosis induction. I've not purchased the item, but have read quite a number of bad reviews on it to know what it is all about.

You might want to read Kenton Knepper's review on this particular item that is sold by another magic company. Quite a negative review.

And it's very expensive too.

Not worth it in my opinion. -_-

Is it "Zap" that you all are talking about?? Btw, i dont think they deserve the price too. Dangerous and the "instant hypnosis induction" really makes me wonder.

Oh wow, this really shocked me.

Actually the price depend on who is getting it. They don't set it low so that any tom dick will get it. They set it high for knowledge hypnotist to get it. But for a knowledge hypnotist, I don't think they will spend that money. Even for me that read up on hypnotism, by kenton, or derren, i will prefer to spend these money on books that talks about the history of this method, like what was mentioned in kenton's blog.

I watched the video, and it seems like "dislocating" people's arm, and they sell it as something they "created" themselves.

Do a search on "instant/rapid hypnosis induction" and you see another video of a similar act but not so "violent".

Apparently I don't feel great that there are people doing that to other people. I hope they take this effect down. Its suppose to be underground.

As Kenton said. You could get sued for performing it.

It's sad that they are marketing this sort of stuff.

I think for many hypnosis techniques, it will be vital to be in a controlled environment where everyone knows that you going to perform that, then you be safe. Not just any moment you feel like you, you create a state to a person, that, you are intruding his/her right with their permission, which is so wrong.

What is taught is not even hypnosis in the first place.
