bobo's coin magic recomemded?
^_^

Kevin - January 15, 2005 03:54 PM (GMT)
No, I'd rather buy some chupa-chups!

Just kidding. Bobo's coin book is like the bible for coin workers, got almost everything from beginner's to plain ow-my-fingers-hurt-like-a-bitch material.

Get it or be square. Ya dig????

Buy it even if you don't do it. You'll refer to it from time to time. The writing style is a bit difficult to understand as this was written a long time ago.

All coin workers should this. Paperback is cheap anyway.

I think I even saw a copy of this at Kinokuniya! Scary thought to think if some laymen picked up a copy and started spreading the methods all over.

But nevermind! HPCCPH > all!! w00t!!! 1337 haXX0r!!

There're drawings in the book. Some routines are easy to do, some are knuckle busters. You'll understand if you read it a couple of times. Who says magic is easy ;) ?

GordonLi - January 15, 2005 04:26 PM (GMT)
yea, it will take time to read, understand and practice to perfection.

great reference for the classics in coins. get it.

Aloy - January 16, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
It has to be one of the most referenced magic books, definitely get it but it will take you forever to go thru it. It is extremely wordy thou.

Good thing about this book is if a layman picks it up, it is virtually impossible to go pass page 10 before they give up in fustration because it is so wordy and the plain descriptions of sleights feels so unmagicial.

This is a very important basics book. Getting this would benefit you a lot more than the fancy products out there.

Yes indeed, the bible to coin magic, but KEV, HPCCPH is NOT in BOBO's!!! Haha...Get it. It's cheap. Good. And old.

this book really takes patience to read through... a few sections are outdated cos they use tophats, etc... but the basic vanishes etc are really da bomb... it covers everything from the basic palm to entire 5 phase routines... read it thoroughly and slowly, and you'll find that its really rewarding in the end... good luck with it!

Bobo's is great light reading material. :P

It's very comprehensive and is a lot more value for money than a dvd. Read through it slowly, absorb what's been written, and you'll learn a lot of great things.

I got mine from Borders. And I have yet to see any layman reading anything from the magic section for more than a page before they restlessly flip through and close the book.

No exposure possible here folks. Laypeople are too lazy to care.
