why wanna use plactic cards? when i first began magic, i use cheapo cards.. plastics and paper... but once i get to understnad the magical things USPC can do... man.. its worth changing to them man. They are the best. use good stuff on good card man. :)

haha.. many years ago all i had were Singapore Airlines decks. they were kind of smooth too, but after a while of just playing normal card games they wilted and died. then of course i found out about USPCC and started using bikes. never changed since then. i think plastic cards are not suitable for magic or flourishes..

to do good magic, settle for nothing but the best.

Not really. Unless you are planning to get a lot of bike gimmicks, i suggest you save that money.

I used exclusively Queen's Slippers when I was there. No air-cushion or any of that but that didn't bother me very much.
The bad thing is Queen's Slippers are bridge size so you might have a little problem adjusting when you switch to the slightly bigger poker size that's the norm in most other places. And it's really tough when you wanna use gimmick cards.
But Queen's Slippers are so very recognisable there and that is a very strong advantage. In fact, if you go to your friend's place and you ask for a deck of cards, chances are they have a deck of queen's slippers. That can be a basis for a lot of ideas isn't it ;)
And queens's slippers are good quality and cheap too if you get them in wooly's. And some decks of queens' slippers comes with extra 11, 12 and 13 SPOT/NUMBER cards. I loved that, it's have having free gimmicked cards and with a little imagination, there's some effects you can do with those as well.

So really dun worry abt getting the $14 bicycles, get 5 packs of QS with that same money instead.
