Dear people of SMC,

But go check out the paper edition as well because there's a very nice photo of some of our competitors and our sexy emcee for the Magic Competition we had at Munchie Monkey.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the people who helped to make the night possible again here and Kiat Han who wrote the 2 articles and I just want to say..........

Yay! I'm the guy holding nothing at all, so I kinda stand out, Burr. Thanks to big KH for doing the article, and yeah... now we know Ning's real name! MUAHAHAHAH.... Imagine teasing her by calling for Elijah (EC). "Oh, I meant the OTHER Cai" :D

What puzzles me is that they say that information and gear is easy to get in stores and all, and then Jeremy Pei comments this had made learning magic too easy. Talk about a double-take :rolleyes:

Anyways, I'm kinda bummed out that I wrote a 3-page "article" commenting on the event, yet it never saw the light of day. But hey, my name is the 8th last thing on the whole page, so Burr.

I think wasn't so much of a flourish vs magic comment, but more like magic has become more puzzle-like rather than mysterious. People are impressed and amazed with the skill the performer has rather than simply being mystified.

It's an unassuming card, simple... yet devious when you get creative ;) 'nuff said. I guess everyone has a favourite card one way or another... or maybe, certain good memories with wildly successful stunts pulled off with that certain card in one of the proudest routines in your life ^_^
