makanmonkey - January 18, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)
can someone please tell me if this is some special bike deck? if so what's it called? looks alot diff from the normal ones to me, and i was under the impression USPC doesn't change their designs much.

i saw De'vo using this .
its special in a sence that rare to get in Singapore but in the us , its common .
its probably a promotion or sumthing , i have a aladdin deck Similar to yours but it promotes a cruise.
anyway where u get this Deck?

makanmonkey - January 18, 2005 03:26 PM (GMT)
Actually I got it from USPC itself haha... but on the customs label they put "$30.00" under the "item value" portion so I thought it's something special. B)

i have a deck of non-ACed aladdins that have some casino promotion sticker on it. i guess its a normal deck. but im not entirely sure. why not check with USPCC themselves?

This deck doesn't have a sticker... it's printed on the box.... btw u still able to get the AC Aladdins?
tham - January 18, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)
oh i've never seen one printed on the deck box itself..
i asked my mama shop uncle to order another dozen or so.. coz the last time i got them (3 decks left.. sad.) they were ACed. but i'm not sure whether this time it will be ACed, if it is i'll surely get all =)
GordonLi - January 18, 2005 05:20 PM (GMT)
i may start using AC aladins for ungimmicked card tricks as aladins are more common (and cheaper). but have to find them... :(

haha yeah yeah. i got this. i asked my fren to get me a deck of bikes when he went to US. so he got me that deck. nth special about it. just 2 extra playing cards with the rules of that particular card game. Very common stuff in the states. like u can find em anywhere. :P :P :P
Kevin - January 19, 2005 08:59 AM (GMT)
I bought two of these in a store in the US, same price and all... it's just an advert for the texas hold 'em rules inside. I never really used them to perform though, cos the box looked more fishy than normal.. :P
But still, the box DOES look weird. Not any different from normal Bikes, though.

Hahaha .. So what was actually included in the deck itself. Extra Cards ? Vouchers ? Lucky Draw ?
Kevin - January 19, 2005 09:27 AM (GMT)
Nothing extra, Ed. Just the rules (printed on card stock, just like the ads) for texas hold 'em. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well the second deck was sold to nicolas this afternoon. There's something special about second deck. The two of spade has got a fading(wear off) kind of feeling. I personally use it for gag "all I can afford is a second hand deck" and people always get the joke.
As for steamboat, it's just another kind of playing cards and of coz with a printed steamboat for the design. I got my friend to get it for me in london for 4pound so I'll be selling it at $12. Only 1 deck left!

Hmmm, I'll considering that Steamboat deck. Is it brand new? I MIGHT want it if there's extra savings... :)
justinho - January 20, 2005 05:45 PM (GMT)
i dun think it is that special.. maybe da card case onli.. coz i got a couple of decks dat have taxes hold 'em rules in it.. still dun understand da playing though.. haha..

Sorry to bring this thread up after so many months
but just fyi
The deck shown by makanmonkey on the 1st post can be purchased at Magic City located at Queensway. All their bikes have that print on them.
Was told by someone that it is the same as regular bikes just that it has texas hold'em rules inside. (already addressed by Kevin in earlier posts i think)

Steamboats? U mean THE kind of cards that Vernon used? Those that can last for a century? B)
Andy - April 14, 2005 04:01 PM (GMT)
I think I may be wrong but dai vernon uses Jerry's Nuggets right?
Steamboats is another kind with arco backs. Look similar to Bees design
anyone to confirm the decks that dai vernon uses?

Sheesh.. I didn't ask if Steamboats were his favoured deck. The point that i'm trying to get across is whether the 100yr Steamboats that he did use, are of the same kind that is now being sold by Jimmagic. Sheesh..
Anyway, the prof used many kinds of decks. Seems like he favoured Tallys, according to a webbie i found. Correct me if i'm wrong. ^_^
