Non Exposure Rules And Warning System, Rules additions

I cannot say how happy I am that this forum is growing and that magic enthus in Singapore (and some in Malaysia ;)) found this useful :)

But as we grow, we start to have problems and issues that we didn't have before and it's all just a normal growth/change thing and we constantly need to change and adapt to new circumstances. I'm grateful for all the feedback and suggestions from everyone on how we can improve this forum :)

And as more and more people learn about us and join us, i would like to place a stronger emphasis and addition on the standard non-exposure rule now.
On top of not exposure of the methods behind an effect, I would like to ask that all be more discerning when talking about gimmicks, sleights and methods.
This includes using appropriate abbreviations when mentioning names if the name is a give away (Eg. IT, DL, TT). Where abbreviations are not possible, use the coded * spelling instead (S**** coin, P***ing a coin, m******* tip).
Where the name is ambigious enough, it is still acceptable to mention the full name (Eg. turnover pass, shuttle pass), but it is still not acceptable to give away the method of an effect by the descriptions of the specific sleights invloved.

The idea is to keep the forum as useful for everyone and special information for those in the know without giving away too much. Hope everyone thinks this is fair and agree that this is for the greater good of everyone.

Also from here on, if an exposure had to be edited from a post by a mod, the poster will have their warning increased. If a poster somehow managed to "achieve" 100% warning level, actions might be taken against. The re-adjustment/lowering of the warning level will be at moderators' discretion.
For now, everyone should have their levels reset to 0%.

Having said all that, hope everyone still have lotsa fun here! Dun worry too much about it and just keep a little common sense and non of these should bother you at all :D

agree to non-exposure rules but how about a real beginner in magic who interested in learning the trade but do not know how. Any tips for them?

To support aloy, if a newbie really have prrobs, he can join the monthly meetings. (: Its just like someone asking for important information, they cant do it via the phone, they bring IC down to the department for verification before anything else can be elicited. So ask that new guy down.. make friends learn more.. benefits all (:
